St John’s has developed a particularly strong reputation for high quality art  education.  A number of our pupils in recent years have gone on to pursue careers within art and design.

Art and Design is a popular option choice at GCSE and the Private View Exhibition of the students’ work always proves to be a highlight of the school year.

    “The perfect environment in which your child can learn and achieve.” St John’s is a small, coeducational and independent school set in its own beautiful wooded site. It is based in the attractive village of Newton close to the seaside resort of Porthcawl and has been on this site since 1921.

  • Taster Days

    We welcome prospective pupils to our free taster days. We also regularly hold Parent and Toddler sessions in our Nursery, as well as our termly Open Day when it is possible to visit the whole school .
