Exam Success

Posted on January 14, 2011 by Office

This week our most senior pupils have taken mock GCSE examinations and many of them have already been celebrating success in various external exams. These successes include Daniel Cash who took his GCSE Mathematics Examination early, in November 2010, achieving an A*, and Hugh Perkins and Rosie-May Lyddon (Year 10) who achieved full marks in Chemistry and Physics modules. We wish them good luck in March when they will sit Biology and further Chemistry modules.

Children in Need 2010

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Office

Today in school all pupils (and staff) have been raising money for Children in Need. The children gave donations to wear either fancy dress or something yellow. Mrs Howells raised nearly £50 by asking pupils to guess how far she would get in reading aloud Harry Potter books from 9am until 4pm. Luca, Yr8, raised a fantastic £78 with his chocolate tombola and “guess how many sweets in a jar.” Cake sales were also held with the Pre Prep raising £32 and the Prep/Senior departments raising £40. A huge ‘THANK YOU’ to everyone who donated and joined in the fun. In total we raised £300.
